There really isn’t any big secret, but if you’re new to webmastering and don’t know much about adsense, this would be a great way to help you out. Joel Comm definitely knows what he’s talking about. Some tips I have found from the past is implement adsense only on the left and center side of your website. That’s where most people look, having adsense on the left can really hurt your ctr!
