I think the guide google put out last week is good and all but I have found imformation on SEO other blogs much better in my opinion.
I know its a foundation for people to go by but really will it help you rank better with google by them telling you something you already read somewhere else.
Most likely not.

Hi Bruno : You are right, Google seems to have realised that they have lost out on being the expert coach in the SEO game to others. It’s trying to build a “SEO Coach” image, this should have been done a few years back.

However the guide is a great tool to download. After all its from the experts themselves :) Thanks for commenting

Why would one take SEO advice from anyone OVER Google themselves??

Interesting move from google. Few years ago they said, that there’s no SEO…Now they are publishing SEO guides. Quite funny.

i downloaded it and started reading it. it is really for beginners and it is not worth at all. It is just sufficent google a little bit for keywords such as seo and optimize your site for google and you are done. You will get tons of guides much better than the one provided by google itself. I have the feeling that the big G woke up a little late here.

Hi Rummuser : I am sure you will enjoy reading and implement it on your site.

Hi Dennis : Well Goggle does not always give advise :)

Hi Tom Faulkner : They should have done this a few years back :)

Hi Ultraportable Review : I agree with you that its very basic, but not a lot of users and even webmasters are not aware of how SEO works. This is a good guide to enhance their knowledge on SEO initiatives.

Oh well, let’s hope this guide really helps people, and that they’re not about to make any kind of funny move with algorithms and all that stuff.

Regards.

After reading it all the way through, its a pretty awesome guide. I think some “SEO pros” are trying to down play its awesomeness by saying its a basic guide.
