I started this blog about 18 months ago without a logo. I never had a logo on this blog, the logo was always text based.

We outsource all sorts of stuff, our logo design was one of them. We were able to get unlimited drafts until we settled on one for $150. This was 3 years ago, so I’m sure prices have gone up.

Definitely cannot wait see the shortlist. I used 99designs.com a year or so ago to get a lot done and I love the competition aspect because you get a lot more options.

Personally I also prefer design contest over the traditional design firm. But connecting designer directly with the logo buyers, it save the cost associated with maintaining a office. Also, for logo design, having a big selection is also important.
