MSN Adcentre Sucks ( Part 1 )

I’ve been using MSN Adcentre to market a few affiliate products. I have a total of 12 campaigns running running MSN Live, a month back I had stopped 4 of the campaigns as I did not see any monetary results from the search results.

While i happen to check out competitive products on MSN I happen to see my paused ads appear on MSN searches under sponsored links. I quickly logged into my MSN adcentre  account to check if i had resumed the paused campaigns. The MSN dash board showed that the campaigns were paused.

I checked out few other competitive searches in the same product category for my other paused campaigns. The search result showed that of the 4 campaigns that were paused a month back, two of them were still showing the ads on MSN.

I immediately called up MSN contact centre and told them about this issue. They seemed very co operative and told me that they would check out the issue and revert to me at the earliest . Well , its been about 2 weeks and several follow up calls to their contact center, the answer that I get is that the technical team is still figuring out the issue for my account.

MSN seems to be struggling with their paid search engine, i wonder how many of my paused campaigns would have been live on MSN before I noticed this issue.

I ve stopped all my paid campaigns on MSN till I get a revert from them. The way its been handled by them does not look like they are interested in resolving this issue.

Did anyone have a similar issue or experience with MSN Adcentre ? Please leave your comments, help other fellow bloggers know more on this issue.

Dude…that’s so wack man! You want to try other engines, besides Google, but then stuff like this happens! Very scare stuff for those of us not familiar with PPC and looking to start.

I have just been using Google Adwords search, I never used msn’s. I thought about trying them, but after reading this it’s definitely going to deter me. I just can’t understand what’s taking Yahoo and MSN so long to create a good ad program!

I had same problem with smaller search engines. I pause ad they still run it and took money. I also had limit on daily amount spent and they went over it when ever they could. i think alot of ad sites do the same thing they want the clicks so they get paid even if you puase ad.

Microsoft seems to want to do things well, but usually just ends up irritating more people than anything else.
