To be honest I have to little information about what he actually have done. But I have heard speculations about the award being given to him simply because they wanted him to step in and in the war in the middle east.

“Now you have won the prize, so step up and rise to the expectations.

Well I think its a little early for him to have that nobel prize. He’s been doing good thus far (in my opinion) but maybe it should take a little more while for it to be more deserving..

That’s how I feel too. When he’s done nothing but spend taxpayers money, it is impossible to see the long term impact of his choices. In 3 years from now we might be labeling him the guy who destroyed the US economy.

I agree. It is way too fast. What has he honestly done to deserve such a high award? He hasn’t even been in office for a year yet!

It is impossible for him to keep doing what he had done. He’s done nothing but spend money and done nothing to bring money in. I’m no expert, but i’m pretty sure they are either going to have to start printing more money to spend (causing the US dollar to inflate out of control) or he’s going to have to hike taxes. Either way, he’s not going to be able to “keep doing what he has done.”

Many actually were shocked by this. President Barack Obama should have not won it as he has not achieved peace yet. Too early…..

A lot of people also think that he didn’t do enough efforts to be worthy of a Nobel Peace. But it’s good that he recognizes that. If I were in Pres. Obama’s situation, I would be honored and humbled too, but am I be allowed to return the award and the prize based simply on what I feel?

It’s interesting that the nomination was made back in February I think, so soon after he became president and before he had really done a lot. Certainly his words and rhetoric sound great, but I am surprised he got the award so early, before history can judge his actions. But I still think it’s great he got it.

Obama is good leader, But I thinks that he not done much for world peace. Just only a statement that we have to make world nuclear weapon free. I thinks that prize distribution committee must thinks about it.

I was surprised to see that he has won that award but I don’t really see any other contender recently promoting peace work or may have been ignored by the panel. Anyways, his statement that he wishes to see a nuclear-free world would have contributed a lot to it and I second with him. If we all go weapon-free, it could bring us closer.

I’m not even sure if he has done enough to warrant this prize. There are much more viable candidates. I agree with Stefan that they might use this award as a catalyst to get hi to step into the war.

Good for him, but I think the Nobel Peace Prize lowered the perspective that individuals have of their organization, because we only had 13 days to review what type of president Obama will be.
