by ZK on October 5, 2009

Welcome back! This Blog runs on Thesis . Get Thesis Theme Bonus worth $225. Download my FREE ebook "The 10 Point Site Optimization Checklist" and subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

After successfully launching 31 days to build a better blog , Darren Rowse aka Problogger recently launched another mega online venture.

The Problogger Forum Community – Problogger has been one of the largest blogs in the world on Blogging Tips, the Problogger Community Forum is a logical extension of its loyal readers.

Problogger Forum

Problogger Forum is a paid forum that will cost you $1.95 a month, that’s less than a cup of coffee. At that price the community learning and the value of the collaborative shared knowledge of bloggers and internet marketers is a steal.

When I joined the forum there were already 2011 active members. The community is gaining momentum every hour which gives me an impression that its going to be one of the largest forum communities for bloggers and internet marketers in the coming days.

The Forum has a mix of newbies, advance bloggers and internet marketing professionals. There are ten rooms which are related to blogging and various aspects of blogging. As the forum numbers grow I am sure there will be more than ten forum rooms.

The Ten Forum Rooms are on the below mentioned topics :

- Messages from community admin
- Blog promotion / readers
- Making money with your blog
- Writing content
- Blog design
- Tech issues
- Collaboration
- Critique
- General chit chat

Have a look at the Problogger Forum Community at $1.95 a month its a steal, this forum is well worth $ 20 per month for the value and expertise that the forum members bring to the community.

I recommend you to join before Darren increases the monthly cost, if you don’t find the forum valuable you can opt out of the forum by sending a mail to his team.

Build A Better Blog

During a lot of interviews, I’ ve always been asked what blogs I read and recommend to people who want to be a blogger. I always have one common blog in the list – Problogger.net aka Darren Rowse. Darren has been an inspiration to me and a hero to many bloggers. Problogger.net is an encyclopedia of blogging and internet marketing tips. Darren ran a challenge last month titled “31 Days to Build a Better Blog.”

Here is how he described the 31 Days to Build a Better Blog idea:

“The idea is simple. By the end of this challenge you’ll have learned 31 aspects of blogging and put them into practice. It is designed not only to fill your head with knowledge ABOUT blogging, but also to give you some concrete things to actually DO something with the knowledge.”

Each day in the project contains:
-A Task – something to DO that day.
-Teaching – each day you’ll be given great instruction on both the WHY and HOW of the task of the day.

To make it simple each day you had a teaching and a task. The teaching would give you the concepts and theory, and the task would force you to take action on what you had just learned. A simple and effective way to teach a subject. Over 13,000 people participated in the challenge, and the feedback that Darren got was very good. It was so good, that he decided to create a workbook out of it.

31 Days to Build a Better Blog is a downloadable e-book designed to help you revitalize your blog by giving you 31 tasks that will all help to turn it your blog into the page view powerhouse you’ve always dreamed of.

He sent me a copy of the workbook via email, the workbook is packed with information on Building a successful blog from scratch in 31 days. There are 94 pages of pure content, Darren has put two pages on each page so it’s really 188 pages and condensed for easy printing. The 188 pages has all the 31 tasks, teachings, images and links to useful posts and tools. Here is a screenshot of one of the tasks:

If you are passionate about blogging and want to improve your blog I would highly recommend downloading the 31 Days to Build a Better Blog workbook. You can use this book in several ways, as Darren mentioned. Some people will want to do an intensive training and will ready it all at once. Others will follow the 31 days schedule and work on one task every day. Others might take the slow route and do one task every week. The important thing is that the ebook will help you get going with your blog, it does not matter how long it take to get you going.

The workbook costs $19.95 and worth every cent Check out Darren’s post about the workbook for more info, or purchase it on this direct link

Problogger – Secrets of Blogging your way to a Six Figure Income is a book written by two well know bloggers, Darren Rowse and Chris Garrett. The book is very well crafted and organised that even a newbie blogger can easily understand the topics. The book is targetted to the new blogger who wants to know how to start a blog and how to take it to the next level.

The 200 plus page book covers aspects of niche blogging and tactics of building a blog for passive income. For new bloggers it very well covers the basic aspects of how to book a domain and choosing an appropriate hosting option based on the objective of your blog or your blogging need.

Each chapter is covered with a tip and a summary for the reader which gives the book a very professional look. I like the introduction to the book where Darren gives an overview about his life before he became a full time blogger and how he took up blogging as a full time job. The book Problogger – Secrets of Blogging your way to a Six Figure Income is worth reading and gives an insight into the mindset of a profesional blogger who today makes over to $ 200,000 a year.

You can order Problogger – Secrets of Blogging your way to a six Figure Income from Amazon or get it from your local book store.
