I’ve been using Tweet Later since I joined Twitter, and its been one of the most useful Twitter services I’ve come across. I am still a newbie on Twitter but I ve found Tweet Later to be a helpful and useful utility.
Three things that can help you be productive on Twitter with Tweet Later
- Post dated Tweets or Timed Tweets
With Tweet Later you can post date your tweets, its very simple to schedule tweets for a later date or time. It works well to post your tweets in your absence or to wish friends and family who follow your tweets. Post dated tweets are easy to set up from the calender in your account, I’ve been scheduling post dated tweets while at work. Its ideal that you post one tweet every 15 – 20 minutes to keep your followers involved.
- Follow on Auto Response
With the auto response option you can choose to automatically follow people who are following you , this is a good option as you dont have to manually follow everyone who follow you. However this option has a drawback since Tweet Later automatically follows anyone who is following you, you must go through your list of followers to delete anyone whose Tweets dont line up with your Tweets.
- Direct Message
With this option you can send a personal direct message when someone follows you, this is a very powerful option to make your presense felt to your followers and introduce yourself. I get high number of vists to my blog with this option. This is a good option to increase new visits to your blog.
Tweet Later also has some great features that will help you increase your Twitter following at a faster rate, I’ve been using the above three features since I started using Tweet Later, its helped me cross more than 1000 followers in less than 3 month. I am relatively new to Twitter also, but it seems like this could be useful. There are a lot of times I think about posting a couple of things at once but then don’t want to overdo it, so being able to schedule a post would be pretty helpful!

Making a fortune or not making a fortune on twitter basically boils down to 4 things:
1.) First you need to remain relevant. Give your followers news updates to resources you’ve found around the web that has something to do with the reason you’re on twitter in the first place. Don’t make them outright plugs for your product (although occasionally after you’ve baited them in it’s more than okay) thing of it as a more interactive form of delicious.
2.)Stay engaged with your audience i think @pistachio said it best; “if your audience sees that you’re engaged in a conversation with your audience then they will open up to you because they see that you are a real person like them.” use @ whenever you get a chance to talk to new people.
3.)Remain relevant again. Believe it or not most of the traffic you receive from twitter back to your website will be overflow traffic from your profile link to whatever page you want the to land on. Use this as an opportunity to let them know that you know what you are doing by speaking directly to the twitter audience. It can be something as simple as putting a video that you made especially for the twitter audience where you introduce yourself to them and let them know the other ways they can keep “Connected” at the very least you want to have a text driven page that you link to from your profile that does something similar.
$.) Nuture them. with good content, interesting ideas, and useful resources.

I have been doing tweeter for almost 3 months, although I increased followers, and slowly build up friends, still I have progress.I am not looking for fast traffic, I am just doing to get natural traffic, and it is improving, with an average 4 followers every week, while at the same time I am doing SEO.Think of it as a long journey with no expectation, rather to progress slowly but builds strong link.

Scheduling twits is a great way to save time. You can focus on twitter once, twice a day and then ignore it for the rest of the time. Normaly if you wanted to send new twits throughout the day you’d have to constantly take care of it.

Tweet Later seems like a very good system to time your tweets to perfection, especially to different time zones if you’re working internationally. What is the general consensus on the optimum timing of tweets to gain maximum exposure?

There are a heap of cool things you can do with Twitter. Scheduling posts is cool but there are also ways you can search for twitter uses based on their interests and the words they have recently used in their tweet – very powerful stuff!
