That is crazy! I had no idea that PPC was so effective. this is definitely food for thought.
Btw, I just noticed you have a new logo. I like it!
A slide on Conversion on PPC and SEO would give us a better picture of the effectiveness.
US spend 18 billion in 2009 on PPC and 1.5 billion on SEO….Slide 8 shows that investing in organic search will give better return on dollar spent.
I have long been preaching that SEO is a much better investment compared to PPC, especially in the long run. With PPC you are just paying for temporary traffic that stops coming in when you stop paying. SEO on the other hand builds a stream of traffic that will keep coming for years.
By the way, Rand Fishkin is one of the true SEO experts. His SEOMoz website provides a ton of great info. I like all the SEO tests that they conduct and then report on results.

He is highly respected and a living SEO legend. Organic traffic is still king, and that is what paying attention to both on and off page SEO gets you.
