Twitter turned four years today, exactly four years ago on March 21st 2006 Twitter’s co-founders: Jack Dorsey , Evan Williams and Biz Stone started a phenomenon called Twitter.
Twitter today has become so mainstream that people have started using it as a verb – or a noun. Twitter is also officially included as a word in the Collins English Dictionary.
Last month, Twitter recorded its 10 th Billionth Tweet . Tweets grew by more than 1400% last year to 35 million a day, Today we are seeing 50 million tweets a day. That’s an average of 600 tweets per second.
Twitter shows no signs of slowing down.

I think geolocation apps are great for bloggers to show their readers where they are, what are they doing and initiate new interesting conversations because of that.
Don’t really use Twitter for personal use anymore, I use it to market my blog.

I don’t really use Twitter myself but I do wish it a happy birthday.
While I don’t use Twitter, it really has become a major success over the past few years and it definitely has its uses.
I use Twitter alternative day, it’s really good for realtime search.
I find that IO’m using twitter more and more. It definitely grows on you, and I can only see it getting bigger and bigger as more people embrace it. How many users does twitter have?

Personally I can’t be bothered to get on twitter and send out random tweets all day. It just doesn’t appeal to me. The current Twitter stats are quite amazing though. 50 million tweets per day is huge.

Up to now I do not have a Twitter account. I am still not convinced about it. What is the purpose??? I think it only works for already known companies or VIP’s but not the regular guy. Maybe I am wrong.

For me i don’t use twitter alot, i like facebook which i always use and addicted to it.
Alot of people don’t know this but you can use twitter to build backlinks! All those “url shorteners” are killing your backlinks. There are hundreds of websites out there that publish and display content and “links” from twitter based on the subject of the status (topic).
Tweeting your “actual” urls can result in several do-follow backlinks and many websites especially if your site is a very popular niche!
